There are rumours that a competition called the "London Challenge" is soon going to take place, in order to determine who is the best taxi driver in the British capital. In this quasi-sequel to Taxi Challenge Berlin, players start by choosing a traditional Black Cab or one of three sports cars, and then try picking up passengers around town and driving them to their destinations as quickly as possible.

London is divided into four districts, which are visited in turn. In each district, players will work one shift in the morning, at daytime, in the evening rush hour, and at night. Each time of day has a different amount of street traffic and pedestrians looking for cabs. For the final shifts, the whole city is opened up. Players can unlock three additional cars, timed challenge modes, as well as a free cruising mode.

Various power-ups hidden throughout the city provide turbo boosts, a cannon, a jumping ability, or repair the car. Hooligans throw empty beer bottles at taxicabs, and two kinds of special passengers, well hidden in secret corners of the city, pay extra when delivered to their destinations on time. In multiplayer mode, up to 8 players can compete for customers, with the ability to steal passengers out of an enemy's cab if they are driving too slow. [source:mobygames]
