Puppy Luv: A New Breed Puppy Luv: A New Breed is a game which is based on caring for a virtual pet. It is one in a series of games from Lost Sock Games; other games include Pony Luv and Kitty Luv.

From the title screen players choose and name one of the six available puppies in four breeds, Labrador, Dalmatian, Beagle and Mongrel. The dogs must be cared for and kept happy as they grow and develop. caring for the pets has two benefits, first it unlocks items that can be purchased such as brushes, toys, food etc. Secondly it generates the money with which these items can be bought.

The dogs can be taught tricks, taken for walks and to parks, fed, watered, groomed and played with. There are six locations and over fifty items that are available. When the pet has grown and has learned enough tricks they can be entered into a competition.

The game is entirely mouse controlled. Unlike some virtual pet games these puppies do not 'live' on the desktop. When the game is closed down they disappear until the next time the game is run.
