Glow Worm Glow Worm is a puzzle game where the player has to morph glow worms into fireflies and save imprisoned creatures. It is based on the Japanese arcade game Pururun. The playing field consists of a grid of squares in which the player can place the worms. The worms have two colors, one for the body and another for the spots. By placing three or more worms of the same body color next to each other they will transform into a firefly of the same color as the worms' spots. Fireflies in turn are removed when grouped with three or more worms that share the same color. The goal of the game is to free the worms that have been caged by transforming them into fireflies. A level is completed once all tiles covering the squares has been removed. The player can swap the body and spot colors of the worms by right clicking on them.

Glow Worm has three game modes: classic, adventure and puzzle. Adventure mode differs from the classic in that the pieces fall down towards the bottom of the playfield. The puzzle mode includes levels designed to test the player's wits and is more challenging than the other modes. [source:mobygames]
