Drains is a 3D side-scrolling action platforming game that takes place underwater. The side-scrolling aspect of the game is based on a corridor, within which the player is able to freely move. Many enemies and bosses exist, dropping colored orbs when they are defeated. The orbs can be gathered by the player to recover health and the energy required to use abilities, as well as earn the money needed to buy things such as extra lives from a store. Players gain levels as they advance through the game, unlocking more powerful abilities.
