City Style Camilla wants to be hired as the Assistant Editor-in-Chief for the fashion magazine Style, and after an interview with the boss, she starts a trial period where several tasks must be completed to win the position.

City Style is a hidden object game with a fashion theme. Most of the time, the objective is to find and click on all the items required at the start of each task, on scenes related to the magazine or other places filled with assorted paraphernalia. Each location is reused several times with slight variations of gameplay. In some cases, the goal is to pick up a number of instances of the same object. In other places, a list of the required objects appears at the left side, showing either their names or their silhouettes. Some objects are covered by other things and obscured from view, and can only be seen and collected after removing the blocking items.

Some of the tasks are mini-games and puzzles taking place on a separate screen. In one of them, a pile of scattered CDs has to be stored back to their cases, by matching the decorations on the discs and sleeve. An early task shows a top view of the blueprints for the office, where Camilla has be guided to push boxes towards a series of dotted outlines. Another matching task shows the contents of a purse poured over a table, and the goal is to select pairs of related items, like a pen and its cap and a small brush and its make-up case. These games can be skipped at any time. [source:mobygames]
