Plain Sight Plain Sight is a hectic online multiplayer game starring suicidal ninja robots for up to 20 players simultaneously. Players control a robot in one of the 13 fighting arenas, usually a series of disconnected planetoids with bright colours. Robots can also walk on the sides and the bottom of the platforms and jump high into space to cross distances, not escaping gravity completely.

In the general deathmatch mode the goal is to destroy as many other robots as possible to collect energy. This is done by locking onto opponents and building up a dash attack, where the robot smashes its own body into the opponent. When the cursor turns red enemies most likely will be hit, unless they jump away quickly or move behind an object in the environment. Energy can also be acquired by picking up stars. With each energy boost the robot's colour trail changes and it grows taller, becoming more powerful. Energy is not converted into points until the robot is ordered to detonate itself, making it a balancing act of using the powerful form to kill as many enemies as possible and building up a bonus multiplier, while risking to lose all energy when your robot is killed before converting the energy. When defeated before detonating all collecting energy is transferred to the opponents who executed the kill. After detonation, which can take out additional enemies, the robot respawns and returns to its initial form.

Collected experience points can be used during the battle to upgrade the robot in nine areas with three categories of three abilities, and three upgrade levels for each: run, jump and recovery, shield, shield charge and warning, and detonate speed, dash charge and dash power. When a group of three abilities is maxed out, an additional mega perk can be bought. After each match all of the abilities are reset. Through the upgrades the robots becomes much more versatile. Additional default attacks include a shift attack to the ground and dashing using a sword. Through the warning ability a red exclamation mark appears when the robot is being targeted and a shield can be activated temporarily. Further enhancements are provided through in-game pick-ups, such as stealth or a flaming sword.

The game can be played offline against bots, but most of the gameplay takes place online in five modes: Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Lighten Up (the biggest single detonation on a lit up area wins the round), and Ninja! Ninja! Botzilla! (a fight where players take turns controlling a giant, powerful robot, fighting off many smaller ones at the same time). [source:mobygames]
