Mystery Chronicles: Murder Among Friends In Lyon, France, a man called Charles and his wife are killed, and their children disappear. His cousin travels from Paris and starts an investigation to discover the culprits behind the crime and to find the missing children.

Mystery Chronicles: Murder Among Friends is a hidden object game with a crime novel plot. As in most games of this genre, the objective is to collect a myriad of objects discreetly placed on the screen, within a time limit.

A list of the required objects appears at the right side. Sometimes, objects have to be picked up and placed over other objects (for example, several pencils have to be collected individually and put inside their box).

There is no limit to the number of hints, but after clicking the magnifier hint button there is a wait of 2 minutes before using it again.

Mini-games offer a diversion from normal gameplay. They are variations of well-known classic games like Tower of Hanoi, jigsaw puzzles, Word Search, Sudoku, Minesweeper, Mahjongg Solitaire, and others. The games can be skipped, but doing it so costs a time penalty of 10 minutes. [source:mobygames]
