Wanderer 3D is set in the future where the universe is governed by the evil dictator Vadd. The player has to go out and destroy him, but to do so a Mega-Disruptor is needed. This one is gained by trading disruptors at the single planets which plays out with a poker-like card game.
Every time the player visits another planet he has to solve a straight action sequence in which he simply has to fly around in first person and shoot all enemy ships. In black holes there are special disruptors to earn, but to enter them the player needs to have a certain skill rating.
The version for 16-bit computers, Wanderer, features similar gameplay with a different storyline. The Spectrum and CPC versions support 3D glasses. [source:mobygames]
