The original Transformers have returned to star in this 3D beat-'em-up title. The player fights on a team alongside two allies controlled by the game. Vehicle and robot modes have been included in this game. Once they have been unlocked, you can play as several classic Autobots and Decepticons, such as Optimus Prime, Megatron, Hot Rod, and Starscream. Each Transformer can be upgraded by collecting Energon cubes and other items hidden in each level. The storyline has both factions arriving on the planet Zell in search of their missing allies, who were in pursuit of a mysterious UFO.
