Runes of Magic: Chapter II - The Elven Prophecy is the first add-on for Runes of Magic. It has the same business model as the base game which means it is free of charge and finances itself by selling in-game items. The retail version includes several of these items to make up for the price. The story is about the elves which used to be in alliance with the humans. But a curse weakened them which causes them to become a minority and to cut off the bonds to other races. Now a new threat shows itself and they need new allies...

It expands the game with four new areas and a new race: the elves. In contrast to the humans the player has to choose between two classes in the beginning: Druid (similar to a priest) or Warden (similar to a fighter). Multi classing occurs at level 10 but with a few restrictions: humans can't choose the new classes and elves can't choose priest and knight. The level cap is increased to 55. [source:mobygames]
