One Chance One Chance is a game about choices. It tells the story of the scientist Doctor Pilgrim who made the major contribution to solving cancer. The game starts in the morning after the cure was introduced to the world and he is preparing for the celebration. However, at the start of the game the player is warned that every living cell on planet Earth will be dead in six days and you only have one chance. The game takes place over these six days. The way the the story is told is similar to Every day the same dream with recurring locations over different days, but there is more stress on the importance of choice and consequence. Doctor Pilgrim has a chance to save the planet, but there are a lot of different paths and endings, all depending on the player's choices. Interaction is strictly limited to moving around and picking certain options to advance the story. There are no puzzles or other challenges. Eventually an ending is received and similar to You Only Live Once and Execution there is no straightforward way to replay the game. The choices are final and upon reloading the final sequence is shown, as the game is only meant to be played once. [source:mobygames]
