Love Death 4: Realtime Lovers Haruyoshi Sakurai is a young boy who has lost both his parents. He now lives together with his aunt Sachiko, a former wrestler who owns the Nagahara Mansion. Haruyoshi leads a quiet life until he obtains a key left from his father and finds out that he possesses unique power. Eventually he and his relatives come into contact with the world of grim reapers, when one of them, a naive young girl, appears one day in the mansion carrying a scythe.

Love Death 4: Realtime Lovers is very similar in concept to the previous entries in the series. Like in its predecessor, the game has a story mode and a free mode. The story mode advances automatically through text and scenes, occasionally prompting the player to make a choice, similarly to visual novels (albeit with animated cel-shaded 3D models). The player can opt to interrupt the flow of the story at any time and enter the movement mode, which allows physical navigation in a 3D world (from both first- and third-person view).

The free mode is more extensive than in the previous game, allowing transportation by car or bus between five different areas. Like before, the player can explore the environment, collect various items (food, clothes, sex utensils, etc.), give them to the female characters and build up relationships. It is also possible to assault the girls outright and rape them. The game has more items and sexual interaction choices, as well as optional combat against characters and animals that populate the game world. [source:mobygames]
