Lost in Reefs You have discovered an ancient civilization. You must build and explore the ancient undersea city.

Lost in Reefs is a puzzle game in which you must match three or more of the same items. What makes this game unique is the level of customization available. You can choose timed or non-timed mode. You can choose to have puzzles with all square tiles , all hexagonal tiles or have some puzzles be square and others hexagons. In addition, there are three play modes. Swap mode is where you use your mouse to swap two tiles to create rows of three or more. Group mode is where you click your mouse on any group of three or more of the same, whether in a straight row or not. Chain mode is where you drag your mouse along a row of three or more of the same, whether in a straight line or not. The object is always to clear the colored tiles by making matches over them. When all the colored tiles are clear, the level is complete.

Some tiles will be locked, with a chain across them. These must be matched to unlock them. Other tiles will be in boxes. You must make a match next to the box to reveal the item within. In addition, there are bonus items that help you. These include a hammer that can remove one item, a bomb that will remove a cluster of items, a mixer that will move several items about the screen, a fluid that will remove several items randomly from about the screen, etc. Once you have completed a level, you will gain gold and maybe fish and tools. These are used to buy buildings and items to recreate the undersea city. [source:mobygames]
