The Lord of the Rings Online: Mines of Moria The Lord of the Rings Online: Mines of Moria is the first paid-for expansion for The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar. Labeled The Lord of the Rings Online Vol. II, it advances the journey of the Fellowship of the Ring with their travels through the Mines of Moria and the forests of Lothlórien, the two new highlevel-zones with 12 expansive areas to explore, fight new monsters and quest in.

In correspondence with these, the level cap has been raised from 50 to 60 with many new skills available for all classes. Some talents were also rebalanced to accompany the changes which the new skills bring. Also added are the Runekeeper and the Warden as playable classes. The Runekeeper is either an offensive or defensive magic class (either healing or blowing stuff up) with a twist. The longer a battle rages and if the Runekeeper only uses a specific set of abilities, the other abilities will decrease in their power and shift it to the more-used ones. The Warden on the other hand is an off-tank with a high focus on damage. He uses a queue-system for his attack, allowing him to sequence and time his "gambit" attack together with his other abilities in order to increase their effectiveness.

The other main addition is levelable weapons. Legendary weapons, which the players either get by doing specific quests or build them themselves, gain experience points and levels while being used in battle. At each level-up the player then gets points to invest in the weapon's attributes granting the player class-specific upgrades like increased critical damage. In addition every ten levels the player needs to re-forge the weapon which resets its statistics but unlocks access to a more powerful version of the weapon. [source:mobygames]
