LBreakout2 is an open source Breakout variant. The player controls a paddle to bounce back a ball, break a group of colored bricks and at same time prevent that ball from leaving the playing field. Like similar games there are special items that increase or decrease the game's difficulty. Later versions of the game incorporate custom level sets that refer to classic games such as Space Invaders. The game has 50 levels, a level editor and lots of custom levels created by users.
