Laser Dolphin "The Prime Minister has been kidnapped by aliens. Are you a bad enough dolphin to rescue the Prime Minister?" That's right, after the kidnapping of the Prime Minister the only thing that can rescue him it turns out is a dolphin armed with lasers. Laser Dolphin is a platform game where you must collect golden fishes, weapons, and destroy enemies standing in your path to advance through the levels and ultimately save the Prime Minister.

Controlling the dolphin is done via keyboard and mouse and you can jump out of the water with the use of a little speed and of course aiming up otherwise most of your time is spent swimming. Aptly named Laser Dolphin has a laser strapped to his back that would make Dr.Evil proud. His laser is either a single blast of can be charged up for and even more powerful blast by holding down fire. Other weapons such as guided missiles and laser swords can also be strapped to his back. The laser sword has the unique ability to bounce back enemy fire. The enemies in this game adventure range from Earthbound crazed creatures like suicidal turtles with TNT strapped to their shells, and seagulls that drop bombs from the air. As you advance through the levels you will confront robotic enemies that the aliens have deployed such as, robotic sharks, evil dolphins, and robotic sentries and mines.

Your adventure will span fifty levels that take place on four different worlds from the Earth to the alien home world. A volcanic planet and an ice-bound one will also need to be traversed. After rescuing the Prime Minister you can then try out the stunt mode of the game where you must do jumping, flipping and other stunts to gain points and open other stunt levels. There's also a race mode where you must swim as quickly as you can through hoops in the water. The higher the points you score the more levels you will open up. Earning high-points will also unlock cheat modes that range from invincibility to giant dolphins and gravity adjusters. And if after all that you still need more to do, there's a built in construction set where you can make your own levels. [source:mobygames]
