International 64k-rate is a remake of International Karate +. As in the original game 3 characters appear on the screen (white, red and blue) but unlike in the original game all three characters can be played by human players. After they have done the obligatory bow the fighting starts. Each round lasts 30 seconds or until one character gathers six hit points, depending on what happens first. Hit points are awarded every time a character hits another character (one point if the hit is from behind and two if it is from the front). At the end of the round the player with the least hit points loses. After each three normal rounds comes a bonus round where the player must deflect flying and bouncing balls using a shield.
