Disney's Hot Shots: Cub Chase Cub Chase is one in a series of Disney casual games entitled Disney's Hot Shots. In this game, Kovu and Kiara from Disney's The Lion King II: Simba's Pride, race to cover a maze in paw prints while evading capture by their babysitters.

Cub Chase is inspired by the Pac-Man formula. Each maze has various pathways cutying through the grass and delimited by rocks. The cubs must leave their paw prints on every last bit of the pathway. When this task is accomplished, an exit opens up allowing the cubs to escape the maze. Meanwhile, the babysitters will be trying to catch the mischievous cubs, including Timon, Pumbaa, and Zazu. Timon and Pumbaa are limited by the rocks, just as the cubs are, but Zazu can fly over the artificial boundaries. A cub has 3 paws at the start of the game. Each time a cub is caught (touches a babysitter), the cub loses a paw. When all the paws are used up, it's game over.

The cubs have a few special options on their side. Some mazes contain hyena masks that can scare the babysitters away temporarily. There are also bug nests to be cracked open that will distract the babysitters for a small while.

The game can be played in 1- or 2-player mode. In 2-player mode, the cubs compete on the same screen to cover the most ground while avoiding babysitters. [source:mobygames]
