CellFactor: Revolution Initially a one-level tech demo released in May 2006 named CellFactor: Combat Training, this is a free FPS shooter with 5 levels developed to showcase the capabilities of the Ageia PhysX card. Two of the maps don't require a PhysX card to run, but with it, extra properties are enabled: realistic fluids like lava, radioactive suits move like real cloth and spider webs hang from walls. These objects react to the player's actions in realistic ways and with a PhysX processor the game will not only look more beautiful (like in cool explosion effects) but will run significantly faster.

The backstory involves the planet being dominated by LIMBO Corporation, a massive corporate superpower that has developed an advanced army of super-powered soldiers with telekinetic ability called PSI powers. You can battle on both sides of the war for or against the human resistance which have also hijacked some of LIMBO's technology in order to create its own warriors. The game offers Bot matches and LAN gaming only. Game modes include Capture the Flag, Deathmatch, Domination and Team Deathmatch.

You have the option of playing as three different classes: Guardian (a cyborg warrior weapons specialist who can use two weapons at once, can jump long distances, and can pound the ground to create a gigantic shockwave), Bishop (a female flying physics mentalist who can throw objects as large as vehicles, and even crush foes with her mind) and Black-ops (who use both weapons and PSI powers but not with as much skill or power). With PSI powers, you can use any available environmental objects as weapons or fling your enemies around as well.

The levels are oppressive looking industrial areas with huge complexes which have other functions. The Reactor Processing Core is built inside a rock where there is molten metal coming out from tubes, bridges over lava pools, and spider webs on high-tech machines. The Weapons System Control is an indoor map with many rooms which lead to one where there's a huge cannon that fires a red beam to the sky. The Fueling Station contains a series of platforms made for air vehicle landings in the middle of the ocean. The Proving Grounds is a Psi-power testing area for soldiers to train their abilities. The Storage Facility has three huge structures, where you can drive all the vehicles available in the game. [source:mobygames]
