Caelum Earth has squandered its energy resources. But there is hope. Energy orbs have been discovered in space. Pure energy that just needs to be harvested. So, Earth created Robotic Orb Blasters, or R.O.B.s, and sent them to gather the energy we need.

Caelum is a game that is very reminiscent of Peggle. The creators describe it as a cross between Breakout and a pachinko game. At the top of the screen is your launcher. Once you launch your ball, it can hit various orbs on its way to the bottom of the screen. At the bottom of the screen is a paddle that moves left to right and back. If the ball hits the paddle, gravity is reversed, meaning the ball will "fall" up to the top of the screen then gravity returns to normal.

Most of the board is filled with blue or purple orbs that give fifty points each but the goal is to hit the red orbs which give one-hundred points each. Once all the red orbs are cleared, the level is done. If you run out of balls before clearing all the red orbs, the game is over. Also on the board are two green orbs that give one-hundred points each. Each green orbs gives you one use of one of three bonuses. These bonuses are:Fireball: This makes your ball destroy and pass through all balls in its path.Gravity control: This puts the gravity paddle at the bottom under your control until a ball hits it.Explosive ball: This makes any red orb that gets hit explode, destroying any nearby orbs. You must hit a red orb as your first hit or the bonus fails. In between levels, you can read R.O.B.'s diary entries. These are written as if from R.O.B.'s perspective and are written for humor.
