Blockbusters was a popular TV game show throughout the '80s and '90s. This mobile game is a football-themed version of that game concept. The game takes place on a board of hexagonal tiles. The idea is to build a chain of tiles from one side of the board to the other. Each tile represents a question that the player has to answer. The answer always begins with the letter that is shown on the chosen tile. Each question has four alternatives that the player chooses from. The time is not unlimited though so he has to be quick in his decision. The player wins when he has made a chain left to right while the AI wins by making a chain from top to bottom.

In addition to playing against the AI, it is also possible to play two players at the same phone. The player that completes his chain first gets to play the gold run. There is also a challenge mode where the player gets to play a series of increasingly more difficult AI opponents. The twist here is that the player gets additional time in the gold run for each tile while at the same time the opponent can block tiles and thus making the gold run harder. There are four challenges in total and once they all have been completed a marathon mode is unlocked. [source:mobygames]
