Chromentum The Chromates, some sort of living quanta, are on a quest to seek intelligent life in the galaxy. Once they found it, and it has proven it is worth, the Chromates sharing the secrets of the quantum universe with them. To test the possible intelligent life, they have developed Chromentum...

Chromentum is a puzzle game, where you have to move all Chromates on the level from their start positions to the target positions. Once all Chromates are in place, you proceed to the next level.

Depending on the type of the Chromates, this is either done manually (golden Chromates) by selecting the target position and the particularly Chromate moves there. But there are also the not-manually movable silver Chromates, which you must "shoot" into their target position.

"Shoot" does not mean that you actually shoot at them, but that you transfers the kinetic energy of your active golden Chromate to the silver Chromate(s) directly ahead. So, basically, you accelerate your Chromate, it will touch the (first) silver Chromate, and it will move halve the distance you moved while accelerating, while your golden Chromate stops. And like in real life, if you do this with a group instead of one, only the first Chromate on the other side will move.

The game consists of 324 levels, which are split over 10 game modes with varying difficulty, there is even a story game mode available. One of the 10 game modes is a very complex Tutorial (24 levels), which will teach you how to master the game. In addition, an editor is included to build your own levels.

There is also the possibility to undo every move you have done, so you don't need to restart the level once you have recognized that you've done something wrong. And there is even a solution button available, which will show you how you must solve the level, when you don't get it yourself. [source:mobygames]
