The Alchemist is a puzzle game in the tradition of Tetris. The player is given a set of coloured vials and he takes one at a time and places it on a field of the isometric board. Then the set gets replenished with another vial.
The goal is to recreate a pattern with identically coloured vials which is shown in right side of the screen. Then the vials vanish. The game ends when there is no more space on the board to place new vials. The vials can be rotated - the ones on the board too - which is important to match the pattern. The game features 13 different boards and patterns, an internet high score list and an editor. The shareware version as a limit on figures in play [source:mobygames]
