ik, mik, Letterland is a Dutch educational title for children who are just starting to learn to read (ages 5-9). It makes use of the "Veilig Leren Lezen" (also known as "Maan Roos Vis") learning package which is used in most schools in the Netherlands and Flanders.

In this games players take on the role of a brave girl called Mik. It is up to Mik to save the people of Loria who live in the Lorian hills. They are threatened by the monster Karbonkel who is jealous of Loria's reading and writing skills and has thus stolen all letters.

As Mik players travel to seven different worlds in which they can play a variety of word/letter games, listen to songs and watch animations and movies. [source:mobygames]
